CDG airport hotels: four areas, four ways in
Hotels near Charles de Gaulle do not all sit at the terminal. Some are at the Terminal 2 station, some at Roissypôle next to Terminal 3, one group is at the car park PR stop, and others are in the villages of Roissy-en-France and Le Mesnil-Amelot. How you get from your gate to the front desk depends on the area, so choose by access first and by room second.
If you have a long layover, a hotel is not your only option. Our day trips and layover tours from CDG show what you can do between flights.

Hotels near CDG compared by area
How you reach each area from the terminals.
| Area | How you get there | Keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 2 station zone | The end of the CDGVAL line and the train station, with RER B | The hotel is near the terminal, not behind passport control |
| Roissypôle (Terminal 3) | CDGVAL stop Terminal 3 Roissypôle, and the RER B station Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 | The walk from the stop is not the same for every hotel |
| Parking PR area | CDGVAL stop Parking PR | The walk from the stop is not the same for every hotel |
| Roissy-en-France | The hotel's own shuttle | Ask the hotel about times and price |
| Le Mesnil-Amelot | The hotel's own shuttle | Ask the hotel about times and price |
For most travellers with an early flight, the Terminal 2 station zone or Roissypôle is the easiest choice, because you arrive by train or by the free CDGVAL shuttle. Choose a village hotel only if its shuttle fits your flight time.
Hotel near the airport: Terminal 2, Roissypôle and PR
The three areas you reach by rail or CDGVAL.
Terminal 2 station zone
The hotel here stands at the end of the CDGVAL line, in the area of the station. "At the terminal" does not mean that you sleep behind passport control. You still walk out through the public part of the airport. See the terminals guide for the routes.
Roissypôle and Terminal 3
Roissypôle has a CDGVAL stop and an RER B station. For Terminal 1 you change to the CDGVAL there. Terminal 3 is at the Roissypôle stop, not at the Terminal 1 stop.
Parking PR
A group of hotels is at the stop Parking PR. Check the walk from the stop to your hotel before you arrive with heavy bags.
CDGVAL and hotel shuttles
The CDGVAL is free. It runs from 4 a.m. to 1 a.m., about every 4 minutes, and the whole ride takes around 8 minutes. The stops are Terminal 1, Parking PR, Terminal 3 Roissypôle, Parking PX and Terminal 2. From 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. a replacement bus runs.
A hotel shuttle in the villages is a different thing. Each hotel in Roissy-en-France and Le Mesnil-Amelot runs its own shuttle, so there is no single line, price or timetable. Ask before you book: where it stops, how often it runs, whether it runs at night and whether you must reserve.

Four checks that save a late-night surprise.
"Near Roissy" is not "at your terminal"
The words only say the hotel is in the airport area. They do not promise a walk to your own departure terminal.
Shuttle details
Ask the hotel for the pickup point, the times and the price. A village hotel can have a shuttle that stops at night or needs a reservation.
Aircraft noise
A public tool shows flight paths and measuring stations around CDG with a delay of 30 minutes. It gives no promise about the noise in a particular room, so ask the hotel for a quiet side.
Early arrival and luggage
If you arrive before check-in, the left-luggage agency at the Terminal 2 train station, level 3, is open about 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Bags up to 55 cm start at €10 a day in 2026. Check the opening hours before you rely on it.
